Book Review

From time to time, I'll be posting book reviews.  Here is my first one!  I promise I'll get better at it!  I'm not much of a writer but I like doing it!

Knowing God by Name:  A Girlfriends in God Faith Adventure by Sharon Jaynes, Gwen Smith and Mary Southerland is an 8 week program in which we learn about the 40 names of God.  This was an interesting book but often I was a bit bored.  I think this would have interested me more if I was reading it with a group of ladies in a bible study.  I did learn names of God that I had never heard before and it was great to read about the different meanings of all of His names.

Love is in the air!

It's February!  My favorite month!  It's my birthday month (woohoo!), Valentine's and it means we are getting closer to Spring and warmer weather!

I have spent the last month studying for school, increasing my hours at work, reading more and focusing on helping friends and family with essential oils.  2014 is off to a great start!

On my reading list:
The Power of a Half Hour by Tommy Barnett
Knowing God by Name by Sharon James, Gwen Smith & Mary Southerland
**Look for my review soon on Knowing God by Name!

What oils are working for my family:

Goodbye 2013!

I cannot believe that 2013 is almost over!  This year flew by!  It was my first year back as a stay-at-home mom and I enjoyed every minute!  Ok, almost every minute!

I am excited to see what 2014 has in store.  One of my goals is to read more.  I just bought The Power of a Half Hour:  Take Back Your Life Thirty Minutes at a Time by Tommy Barnett.  I'm looking forward to starting it tomorrow as we head to Dallas for a wedding.  Also, I have signed up with Blogging for Books so look for book reviews coming soon.

It's 2013!

Happy New Year!  2012 flew by and what a wonderful year it was!  I was able to finally stop working full time and enjoy my time with my family.  We have vowed to spend more time together and so far, we have!
We started the new year off today with lunch at a friends house that turned into dinner.  It was just what we needed to get the new year off to a great start - spending time with family and friends.
Here's to a happy New Year!  God bless!

It's been almost a year since my last post!  Since I'm staying at home today with my cute little sick boy, I thought I would catch up on some things.  (This blog being one of them)

Some updates:  As I was reading my previous posts, I read that last year at this time I was preparing for my first 5k.  Since then, I have ran a couple more 5k's, a 10k and a half marathon!  Who would have thought???  Ronny has been running as well and just finished a 5k in under 30 minutes last weekend.  Blake and Sabrina ran a kids k as well and finished 2nd and 3rd.  I love my little running family!

I'm still working full-time but hoping to cut back when I start school (AGAIN) in the fall.  My Thirty-One business has been doing AWESOME!  I have a great team!  www.mythirtyone.com/joyleschber

The kids are well - just waiting for school to end in a few weeks.  Evan enjoys his preschool class and is bored at home when the other 2 are at school.  Sabrina is almost done with Kindergarten!  Her reading skills have flourished this year!  Blake has done very well in 2nd grade.  They both love their school and their teachers.

That's 10 months in a nutshell!  Hope I can keep up with this a little better!

Bonus room update

Summer is here and my house projects have been tossed to the side.  The color is picked out for the bonus room.  Sherwin Williams Tradwind.
I bought some inexpensive frames from Ikea and printed out 3 8x10 pictures from our trip to San Fransisco.  I just need to get that paint on the walls!
